I have found no records of Jacob's birth, though we can assume that he was at least age 16 in 1728 to be considered an adult male in the immigration records described below. A collection of biographical sketches written by the 19th century journalist John Franklin Meginness and published in 1903, states that Jacob Heidschuh was born in the Palatinate… text/html 2026-10-22T00:15:01+00:00 Anonymous (anonymous@undisclosed.example.com) https://wikidev.ohiopioneers.com/doku.php?id=surname:hiteshew:1728_johann_nicolaus&rev=1792628101&do=diff Johann Nicolaus Hiteshew (c.1728-?) A number of online family trees show Johann Nicolas (JN) as born 1728 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania to parents Jacob Heidschuh and Anna Marie (surname unknown). I do not know what information sources these trees are based on and have found no records to confirm. Later records are consistent with this, but the information should be considered tentative. If the birth year and place are correct, JN would have been born in the later part of 1728 after hi… text/html 2026-10-22T00:15:01+00:00 Anonymous (anonymous@undisclosed.example.com) https://wikidev.ohiopioneers.com/doku.php?id=surname:hiteshew:1756_george_phillip&rev=1792628101&do=diff George Phillip Hiteshew (1756-?) George (Jürg) Phillip Heitshew, son of Johann Nicolaus Heidshcu and Anna Sybilla, was born on 23.Jun.1756 and baptized in the Alsace church on 27.Jun.1756. The sponsors at his baptism were Jürg Phillip Heidschu and Eva Elisabeth Geredtin. It seems likely Johann Nicolaus named his young son after his uncle Jürg Phillip and asked that uncle to be a baptismal sponsor. The other sponsor, Eva Elisabeth Geredtin, may have been the sister of Johann Nicolaus, with Ger… text/html 2026-10-22T00:15:01+00:00 Anonymous (anonymous@undisclosed.example.com) https://wikidev.ohiopioneers.com/doku.php?id=surname:hiteshew:1804_daniel&rev=1792628101&do=diff Daniel Hiteshew (1804-1853) According to History of Frederick County, Maryland by Williams & McKinsey, Daniel Hiteshew was the son of George Hiteshew and was born in Frederick County in 1804.
